Came across this from a Synergy blog post:
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
Supposedly said by Albert Einstein though when I Google to confirm this there seem to be doubts. Doesn’t matter who said it though, I like the quote and it’s something I’ve said to myself in other forms over the years. We can’t judge ourselves based on our current situation. Traits that are useless in day-to-day and which might make us feel pretty useless overall might just be what’s needed in a different sort of situation and make us feel like a hero. Context matters. :)
