Sahasam and Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal (Malayalam movies)

“Sahasam” is a fun movie! I stumbled upon it in Amazon Prime, and was familiar with it coz of its amazing songs. Here’s three of them:

A variety of numbers, as you can see. One is a remix of an older song, another is an Onam number, and finally a trance one.

Anyways, the movie didn’t disappoint. Was quite funny and I enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

Another movie I similarly enjoyed is “Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal”, which is a mouthful of a name but a very fun movie. I think I laughed more in this than “Sahasam”. It’s a black comedy, so a different sort of humour. The movie is about the events surrounding a funeral and all the social happenings connected to it.

Also worth mentioning is “Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira”, which is probably the weakest recommendation of the lot but was still a lot of fun. Though, don’t ask me what the movie was about. It was an odd one. I enjoyed it though, and I’d watch it any day over expensive rubbish like “Coolie” or “War 2” (eugh!). My key takeaway from “Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira” is that in a land of mad people the only sane person is the supposedly mad one (Lal’s character, in this movie). The last 20 or so mins of the movie didn’t make much sense to me, but everything else was loads fun.

Enjoy!
