Just wanted to give a shout out to one the best shows to come out in recent years – “Resident Alien”. It ended last month after four amazing seasons and I just caught the last episode yesterday.
“Resident Alien” is one of those rare shows that keeps the momentum going each season, and each season is actually as good as the previous one and builds upon the characters. There’s a ton of character development, and while they do introduce new things to keep the story going each season it all adds value overall. A lot of amazing TV shows pewter out in season 2 or later, but not this one. Pretty much every episode had me laughing out loud, and while the show was funny it did not shy away from discussing serious themes (but in a non preachy way). I am going to miss this one now that it’s over!
Thanks to Chris Sheridan and team for creating the show, and also for deciding to end it in a satisfying way instead of having a studio cancel it and leave us fans disappointed. If only more creators decided to do that.
